![]() While ‘Ye’ largely showed Kanye as defiant and unrepentant, ‘Kids See Ghosts’ sees Kanye and Cudi more meditative and introspective. Ones to skip: ‘Violent Crimes’, ‘All Mine’. Honourable mentions: ‘Yikes’, ‘Wouldn’t Leave’, ‘I Thought About Killing You’. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good, though.īest tracks: ‘Ghost Town’, ‘No Mistakes’. Production-wise too, Kanye sounds like he’s treading water, rather than pushing the culture forward, as we’ve grown used to.Īs ever with Kanye, ‘Ye’ is an interesting and addictive listen. Too often they allow Kanye to indulge his own whims (the frenzied yelps of ‘Yikes’, the creepy-ass lyrics on ‘Violent Crimes’). Still, none of these tracks stand anywhere next to West’s very best. Elsewhere, opener ‘I Thought About Killing You’ is the rawest Kanye’s sounded… well, perhaps ever. There’s definitely highlights on ‘Ye’ – ‘Ghost Town’ is a burst of euphoria, while ‘No Mistakes’ is a joyous middle-finger-up. Eight days before it was due to drop and Kanye still hadn’t written any lyrics. The few songs that are good on it do not redeem the rest of this album. On ‘Ye’, Kanye decided to scrap a whole album’s worth of material and start again entirely just weeks prior to its scheduled release. SB2H - I feel bad for this but I haven't managed to get through this album.Entergalactic - This ranking may be updated because I have not heard it more than from the movie, but I'm really not a fan.Half of the songs are a sort of "cheap rap": as in sex, money, drugs ![]() This albums do not feel as high as quality. MOTM3 - Some amazing songs such as The Void and Pale Moonlight but I generally don't like Kid Cudi's newer style of music.WZRD - Amazing, not as many good songs though and not typically a genre of music I like, but it surprised me.Satellite Flight - Really cool and underrated album, similar to PPDS, it feels unified, but in contrast, it doesn't feel as complete.Indicud - I really like this one, but there are quite a few songs I don't like as much (that isn't to say they aren't good).Reborn, Feel the Love, and Cudi Montage always hit different A Kid Named Cudi - This might be ranked so highly due to nostalgia, but the OG 50 Ways to Make a Record and The Prayer are just so good, along with most of the other songs.MOTM2 - Similar to the first, really awesome, but less concentration of great songs.MOTM1 - Such a classic, so many great songs. The arc of emotions in this album is very impactful Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' - Super underrated and I feel like this is the most "complete" and unified album if that makes sense. You can tell he just came off of A Kid Named Cudi. The only set back with this album is that it still feels like mixtape cudi. MOTM - Had his biggest hit records, Iconic songs, inspire people like Travis Scott, and all with solid production. The only thing holding this back from being his best album would probably be impact and less iconic songs then the top spot. It feels like cudi could do anything from rapping to singing on this project and still make a great song. MOTM2 - The first cudi album that sounded like an album. The bars aren't much to marvel at, but cudi's singing really shines through here. It doesn't feel like a full album like Daytona. KSG - This album has phenomenal production, but its too short for its own good. The production is a bit shaky, but it's a mixtape. None of the songs are that brave, but its a huge step up in production and cudi brought back more rapping.Ī Kid Named Cudi - Some of the best bars cudi has on all his albums. The other half feel like a more modern take on Cudi's style. MOTM3 - Half of the songs are a Travis Scott rip off. The production isn't great, but the songs are fairly consistent for being an 18 track album This album just has more rapping on it, which I think Cudi's rapping is better than his singing. Indicud - Indicud and Satelight Flight would be about the same. It's one of his rawest albums and feels somewhat like a future-esque vibe for Cudi. ![]() This album has fewer songs with Cudi's singing. Satelite Flight - A lot like WZRD, but braver production. This album kind of feels like a rock rip off. Cudi struggles to keep you interested with his voice. WZRD - Cudi fans love it, but the production has the same guitar strings on every track. PP&DS - This album's way too long and Cudi doesn't say much. Most of the songs have bland attempts at rock, and Cudi, as normal, struggles to hold up a record with his singing. ![]() (This list is gonna try to be the least biased I can make it) ![]()
